It really took a while. When David came up with the idea of an art trade last fall, I was suddenly catched by the idea of just doing it. I really love his work and painting style. Over a couple of weeks we defined what to paint for each other ... and the deadline: mid of April! I have started this year again with my annual promise to be more creative and paint more than the years before! :D Okay, with more or less one painting a year this is surely not impossible! But somehow - at least when looking back on the last 12 months - there was not much time left to achieve more. Nevertheless, I will give it another try! It has been a long while since my last submitted painting here on dA ... 612 days! The Conversation was the last piece I finally finished and uploaded ages ago. What have I done all the time until today? I did my work, developed ideas, read books, let my creativity flow into home and garden projects … started paintings but at some point I always get stuck before finishing it. Not really because of missing time. It has been always a question of my own motivation.
